My team and I were short-listed for RSA (Royal Society for the
encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce).
The project that was undertaken was called ‘Including You’, which
was a health related project and as a team, we chose to base our
project on Diabetes. The final outcome was a palm-sized device
called ‘IDeal’, which is an alternative to carrying all the equipment
a diabetic would have to carry.
The device would enable a diabetic to record and store information,

test sugar levels, keep a track of what they eat using the food diary,
modify settings of the device to their personal needs and it also includes
emergency contacts and an emergency alarm button to alert other people.
Most of the icons were designed by myself, which were all created and implemented
in Adobe Illustrator CS3.
The four main icons are as above: 'Ideal', 'Profile', 'Setup' and 'Emergency'.
Each one is branched out into various other tools, for instance, under 'Profile',
you would find Diabetic's profile info, family/friends and doctor's contact details, food diary, etc.
The profile tool would assist both the diabetic and other users to gain essential information.
The icons are all colour co-ordinated. So basically, all the icons under the green 'Profile' icon are
green, all the icons under the red 'Emergency' icon are red and so on.
